PANews reported on May 7 that Yu Xian, the founder of SlowMist, once again issued a warning, saying that hackers have recently used Zoom's name to launch "fake meetings" attacks, specifically targeting cryptocurrency project owners and key people. The attackers tricked users into downloading and installing malware by forging Zoom domain links, and the "participants" in the video even used deepfake technology to disguise themselves. Once the victim clicks to download, the hacker can remotely control the computer and further steal funds or cloud permissions. Security experts remind people to verify whether the meeting link is the official domain name (zoom.us or zoom.com) to prevent security risks caused by AI forgery.
