PANews reported on February 25 that the Southern District of New York (SDNY) in the United States issued an announcement on the X platform that the authorities seized approximately $31 million in cryptocurrencies related to the Uranium Finance hacking incident in 2021. The operation was jointly conducted by SDNY and the San Diego Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).
Uranium Finance is a Uniswap Fork project deployed on the BNB chain. In April 2021, hackers stole $50 million due to a contract vulnerability. Hackers tried to launder money through tools such as Tornado Cash. (CoinDesk)
