PANews reported on April 10 that according to Bitcoin Magazine, Jack Dorsey's payment company Block announced the launch of a new open source toolkit designed to help companies manage their Bitcoin treasury holdings more efficiently. The release includes a corporate Bitcoin holdings dashboard and a BTC/USD real-time price quote API, which is now available to all companies and developers through the Block open source program under the Block public GitHub repository.
The dashboard is designed to help companies monitor the dollar value of their Bitcoin holdings through a user-friendly interface designed for financial teams and executives. It integrates real-time pricing data through an open source BTC/USD quote API, and plans to add quarter-end historical query capabilities in the future to support financial reporting. Block has invited the open source community to provide feedback and feature requests through GitHub Issues.
