PANews reported on February 26 that according to The Block, Ethereum Foundation researchers including Vitalik Buterin discussed the Pectra upgrade, L1 revenue and future development in a Reddit "AMA". The Pectra upgrade is expected to be launched in a few months, increasing the number of block "blob" transactions from 3 to 6 to reduce L2 data costs.
Researchers proposed the concept of "native Rollup" to allow L2 to be directly integrated into L1 to increase the main chain's revenue. Projects such as Arbitrum and Base have expressed interest. Justin Drake predicts that in the next 10 years, Ethereum may support 10 million TPS, that is, 100 transactions per person per day. Even if each transaction only charges $0.001, the daily revenue can still reach $1 billion. Buterin said that Ethereum will continue to optimize, but the core technology is close to maturity.
