PANews reported on April 22 that according to Cointelegraph, U.S. District Judge Barbara Rothstein ruled that a class action lawsuit against Binance for allegedly assisting in money laundering, originally scheduled for trial in Washington, would be transferred to Florida for trial. The court believes that the case is essentially the same as the lawsuit filed in Florida in 2023, and the application of the "first prosecution rule" can avoid duplicate lawsuits and improve trial efficiency. Although the plaintiff argued that the case involved additional charges and added former CEO Zhao Changpeng (CZ) as a defendant, the court still believed that the victims of the two cases were the same and the transfer would not affect the progress of the case.
