PANews reported on February 19 that according to Bloomberg, crypto market maker Wintermute Trading Ltd. is planning to expand its business to the United States, including opening an office in New York and launching new products in the United States. Wintermute CEO Evgeny Gaevoy said that as part of the expansion plan, the company plans to provide over-the-counter products to American customers and slightly increase the current number of employees, adding about 5 to 10 people to the current team of 130. Gaevoy said that Wintermute is optimistic about possible changes in U.S. regulatory policies and said that other countries are likely to follow the development of the United States.
Separately, Wintermute recently raised money in a funding round led by Chinese technology company Tencent Holdings Ltd., people familiar with the matter said.
