On April 6, 2025, the "Catizen FunFi Future Gallop" was successfully held at the Hong Kong Jockey Club. With the theme of "Entertainment Finance (FunFi) and Inclusive Value Creation", the conference attracted top developers, investment institution representatives and industry pioneers in the Web3 field to jointly explore the deep integration path of games, digital assets and inclusive finance, and focus on the globalization strategy and emerging market opportunities of Asian mini games.
Industry leaders gather to outline the blueprint of FunFi ecosystem
At the summit, more than 20 industry leaders from Kaia Foundation, Bombie, Line Next, Animoca Brands, Bitget, Flipster, CoinEx and other institutions held in-depth dialogues. The experts attending the summit unanimously agreed that Web3 technology is reshaping the game economy and user behavior patterns - through the "playable economy" model, the boundaries between entertainment experience and financial benefits are gradually disappearing, and users are upgraded from simple "content consumers" to "ecological co-builders". Asian mini games are expected to become the core fulcrum for leveraging the global market with their lightweight design, social fission capabilities and localized operation experience.
Bombie Ecosystem Expansion
As a benchmark project of Kaia ecosystem, Bombie has demonstrated its leading position in the industry with impressive data: the total number of global users has exceeded 11.1 million, the average revenue contribution per user (ARPPU) has reached US$319, and it has long been at the top of the Kaia Wave Mini Dapp competition list. At the summit, Bombie COO Barry announced a major strategy: the new mini game "CapyBomb" will be launched soon, and the "Stake to Earn" mechanism will be launched simultaneously; in addition, Bombie has built a full-domain IP ecosystem across games, movies, and music, and the original music album "Bombie Rise" and the animated series "Fake Elon" will further strengthen its cultural influence.
Sam, Chairman of Kaia Foundation, said: "We are very optimistic about Bombie's TGE. It is a star project in the Kaia ecosystem and has the potential to become a landmark case and provide a reference for other Kaia Mini Dapps. I play Bombie every day and rank in the top 20. I hope it will succeed and I am very confident in its performance."
FunFi: Entertainment behavior drives value
The consensus of the summit pointed out that the core value of FunFi lies in "assetizing entertainment behavior" through technical means. The investment of users in game interaction, social collaboration, and content creation can be converted into actual income through the on-chain asset confirmation and liquidity mechanism, thereby lowering the participation threshold of traditional finance. David Ching, investment director of Animoca Brands, emphasized: "The next generation of Web3 games must be based on playability, and users must share the dividends of ecological growth through economic model design, rather than staying in short-term speculation."
