PANews reported on April 6 that a group of well-known figures from the technology and financial industries are heading to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, trying to “discuss common sense” with him about his tax policies.
According to the report, the source disclosed the relevant information to Kara Swisher, a senior American technology journalist. Swisher posted on the social platform Threads: "The millions of dollars they donated (to the president's) inauguration are now turning into billions and soon trillions of dollars in losses." Swisher also added that Tesla CEO Elon Musk has also "become one of their targets." The specific identity of the above-mentioned celebrities has not been disclosed. However, the report said that because the technology industry is heavily dependent on manufacturing, computer chips and IT services in China, India and other countries, Trump's tariff policy has hit technology stocks hard.
