PANews reported on February 12 that according to The Information, Apple and Alibaba have reached a cooperation agreement to launch artificial intelligence (AI) functions in the Chinese market to meet localization challenges and enhance market competitiveness. Previously, Apple had selected Baidu as its main partner, but because its AI model did not meet the expected standards, it finally chose Alibaba.

The report said that the two sides have submitted the jointly developed AI functions to China's Internet Information Office for approval. The key to this cooperation is Alibaba's massive user shopping and payment data, which can be used to optimize AI models and provide more personalized services.
