PANews reported on May 10 that according to Bitcoin.com, lawmakers in Belo Horizonte, Brazil's fourth largest city, passed a groundbreaking bill aimed at making the city an innovation center for cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin companies. The bill provides incentives for businesses that accept Bitcoin payments and promises to highlight these businesses in city advertising. In addition, the bill promotes educational activities to help citizens adapt to this digital transformation. The bill was passed with 20 votes in favor, 8 votes against, and 6 abstentions. The bill will now be submitted to the mayor's office for final approval.
