PANews reported on May 5 that according to CoinDesk, US President Donald Trump recently publicly denied the claim that he was personally profiting from the TRUMP memecoin of the same name.

In an interview with NBC News, Trump said he “didn’t profit from anything,” wasn’t paying attention to the token’s market performance, and considered any possible financial gains to be “incidental.”

However, previous analysis reports (such as Chainalysis) have pointed out that the token has generated hundreds of thousands of dollars in fee income for its supporters in a short period of time. In addition, it is reported that 80% of the TRUMP token supply is held by wallets jointly controlled by Trump-related entities CIC Digital LLC (also used to manage its NFT series) and Fight Fight Fight LLC. Recently, the White House also announced plans to invite the 220 largest holders of TRUMP tokens to dinner with the president.
