PANews reported on May 8 that according to Cointelegraph, the sales of NFT project Doodles surged by 97% in the past 24 hours, reaching 1.1 million US dollars, ranking third in the NFT sales list of the day. Its total sales in the past week reached 2.6 million US dollars (a 368% increase from the previous week). The market enthusiasm stems from the fact that the project will launch the generation event of Solana's on-chain token DOOD on May 9 and airdrop it to Doodles NFT holders.
In addition, CryptoSlam data shows that with the surge in activity for Doodles and other collectibles, the total NFT market transaction volume in the past seven days reached more than $103 million, up 7% from the previous week. Ethereum-based NFTs are still in the lead, with sales of $26.5 million in the past seven days. Polygon NFT ranked second with sales of $19.1 million, mainly thanks to the real-world asset NFT platform Courtyard, which sold more than $17 million, making it the highest-selling NFT collectible this week.
