PANews reported on September 10th that Metaplanet announced it has finalized an international offering of 385 million shares at a price of 553 yen per share, raising approximately 2.13 trillion yen (approximately US$1.444 billion). Approximately 1.84 trillion yen of the proceeds will be used to purchase Bitcoin, and approximately 20.4 billion yen will be used for Bitcoin-generating businesses. Upon completion of the offering, the company's total share capital will increase to 1.141 billion shares.
