PANews reported on September 8th that Bybit has fully restored access to its apps on the App Store and Google Play in India. According to a press release, the centralized exchange's website is being restored in phases and is expected to be fully operational within this week.

On January 12th, Bybit temporarily restricted its services in India to complete its registration as a virtual digital asset service provider. Services initially resumed on February 25th, but the website and app have only just now regained full functionality. Bybit initiated the regulatory process earlier this year and registered as a reporting entity with the Financial Intelligence Unit in January 2025.
