Organised by the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the International Business of Innovation and Technology Week (BITWeek) was held again in Hong Kong in April this year. The series of events included the "Smart Lighting Expo", "Hong Kong Web3 Carnival", "Hong Kong International Innovation and Technology Fair", "Hong Kong Spring Electronics Fair" and "Hong Kong World Youth Science Conference".
As one of the five core events of the International Innovation and Technology Business Week (BITWeek), the 2025 Hong Kong Web3 Carnival, co-organized by Wanxiang Blockchain Lab and HashKey Group and hosted by W3ME, came to a successful conclusion at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center from April 6 to 9.
On the morning of April 13, Dr. Xiao Feng, Chairman of Wanxiang Blockchain and Chairman and CEO of HashKey, was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the 2025 International Innovation and Technology Business Week (BITWeek2025), and went on stage with guests including Mr. Paul Chan, Financial Secretary of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Dr. Peter Lam, Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Ms. Xu Xiaolan, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Zhi Gong Party, Vice Chairman of the All-China Women's Federation, former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and President of the China Electronics Society, Dr. Wang Weiming, Director of the Education and Science and Technology Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Professor Sun Dong, Director of the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau of Hong Kong, and Ms. Margaret Fong, President of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, to open the 2025 International Innovation and Technology Business Week (BITWeek2025).

Web3 Carnival is a Web3 event brand jointly launched by Wanxiang Blockchain Lab and HashKey Group, and hosted by W3ME. The previous 2023 Hong Kong Web3 Carnival and 2024 Hong Kong Web3 Carnival were both huge successes. The two events brought together more than 250 cutting-edge exhibitors, invited more than 800 industry leaders for in-depth exchanges, and attracted more than 80,000 on-site visitors to participate in the event. At the same time, more than 300 colorful peripheral activities were also held.
The 2025 Hong Kong Web3 Carnival, based on the previous two sessions, has a 50% increase in venue size compared to last year, exceeding 14,000 square meters, and the total number of visitors in four days has also exceeded that of last year. The four-day 2025 Hong Kong Web3 Carnival has set up six major venues, with the theme of spring, summer, autumn and winter, implying the endless vitality of the Web3 industry. The event has set up different highlights every day, attracting different groups of people to attend, from the first day to the last moment. It brought a feast of ideological collision to the audience, and gave birth to countless wonderful insights into the future.
