PANews reported on May 15 that Farcaster co-founder and technical director Varun Srinivasan announced on social media that Warpcast, one of the front-end applications of the decentralized social network Farcaster, will be renamed Farcaster. Specific changes include: the mobile application will be renamed simultaneously; the classic Arch logo (i.e. FarcasterLogo) will be reactivated; the official website domain name will be moved from warpcast.com to farcaster.xyz; all old links will remain reverse compatible, and users do not need to perform any operations. Srinivasan added that there will be no other changes in the short term, and the team will move forward steadily and communicate fully through multiple channels. The earliest change is expected to occur in mid-May, but it is likely to be postponed to June.
