PANews reported on November 7 that according to The Block, Vinay Gupta, a technical expert who helped coordinate the release of Ethereum, said he is seeking to promote sensible crypto policies to President-elect Donald Trump's transition team. In addition, inspired in part by Trump's overwhelming victory on Election Day, Gupta is considering moving himself and his team at the UK-based blockchain company Mattereum to the United States. He added: "We plan to move people (including me) to Washington, DC soon to help the US cryptocurrency transformation." Vinay Gupta said that part of his plan includes replicating some of the policies he helped develop in the UK, including a recently proposed parliamentary bill that attempts to formally define crypto assets as property, and successfully pushing the country to recognize smart contracts as "actual contracts."
