Rebel Metis: Ethereum Layer2 AI chain breakthrough and ecological subversion

Let me share my thoughts on @MetisL2 announcing a rebranding to become an AI chain:

1) Ever since I started promoting the AI Agent narrative, I have been calling for traditional old technology narratives and old chains to embrace the new narrative of AI + Crypto.

Solana has taken the lead with PumpFun MEME Summer, and although the Ethereum ecosystem has attracted much attention due to the outstanding performance of the Base chain and Virtual ecosystem, it is obvious that only one Base chain cannot shake the path dependence of the entire Ethereum Rollup-Centric ecosystem. In this case, $METIS can no longer sit still.

2) I don’t know how much credit Vitalik’s mother has for this, but Metis was the first to break the inertial dependence and become the “rebel” of Ethereum layer 2. If you look back at Metis’ previous series of narratives and strategies, it’s not surprising at all:

When the Ethereum layer 2 ecosystem was caught up in a technical narrative battle between the ZK-Rollup and OP-Rollup strategies, Metis seized the problem of centralization of most layer 2 sequencers and launched unique innovative narratives such as decentralized sequencers and hybrid Rollup.

When Ethereum layer 2 was too general and the entire market was playing the big business narrative of stacking, Metis also took a different approach and chose to focus on the layer 2 economy itself, because Metis believed that the stack strategy could not solve the problem of insufficient hematopoietic capacity of the layer 2 ecosystem itself;

In short, Metis has always been playing the role of a "rebellious" character in the entire Ethereum layer 2 ecosystem. Now, when Ethereum is facing a lack of innovation, Metis will naturally not miss the opportunity to "show its sword" again in an unconventional way.

3) How to do it specifically? First of all, we must take advantage of the high performance of layer 2, upgrade the Andromeda network, and present a new high-performance chain image, at least to keep up with the high-performance Ethereum killer chains such as Solana;

In addition, the vision of making Layer2 chain a new AI computing infrastructure was proposed, including IDAO personal centered autonomous organization, DAT data anchored token, LazAI multi-dimensional data collection system, AIith AI Agent framework standard, AI-Native application incubation, etc.

Since most of the reshaped framework structures have just been proposed, we have to wait for further details to be implemented, and we cannot yet evaluate what the new AI narrative will bring. To put it another way, this is at least the first layer 2 public chain in the Ethereum ecosystem to propose a system AI transformation architecture in terms of AI Native.

Ethereum has the most active developer technology ecosystem organization, but the "modularization" narrative was introduced by @cosmos, and the "chain abstraction" narrative was abstracted by @ParticleNtwrk based on its account abstraction AA concept. ZK technology is considered to be Ethereum's trump card narrative, and ZK infra such as @RiscZero, @ProjectZKM, and @SuccinctLabs have been slow to stay in the upstream of the supply chain and are not well known to the public.

What to do? The only solution: Embrace AI narratives. AI Agent, as a front-end application, can bring upstream unpopular narratives such as zkVM on Ethereum to the center of the stage, while activating the vitality of outdated ecosystems such as DeFi, Gamefi, and Metaverse on Ethereum. Why not?
