PANews reported on May 8 that Ethereum core developer Tim Beiko released a proposal to "restructure the AllCoreDevs governance process" to optimize the functional decision-making mechanism in network upgrades. The proposal suggests that the strategic direction of "fork focus" (such as scalability, developer experience, etc.) should be clarified before each hard fork, and functional proposals should be evaluated through standardized templates, requiring a clear description of technical value, risks and community impact. The new process adopts a two-stage review: early community discussion and later test network verification. Each layer upgrade only promotes 1-2 core functions to avoid resource dispersion. For controversial cases such as EOF, it is stipulated that rejected proposals shall not be resubmitted in other forms in the same cycle. The plan also proposes to establish a formal working group mechanism to conduct regular strategic evaluations of long-term development projects. The reform aims to improve decision-making transparency, balance development efficiency and community consensus, and is expected to significantly improve the Ethereum upgrade governance model. The proposal has entered the community discussion stage.
