PANews reported on May 6 that Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin published an article dividing the security of Ethereum Rollup into three stages: Stage 0: The security committee can completely veto the proof system, and control is centralized. Stage 1: Intervention requires the consent of 6/8 members, and there is a threshold for external members, and intervention is limited. Stage 2: Intervention only occurs when a verifiable error occurs, and it cannot be arbitrarily determined. He suggested that as trust in the proof system increases, it should gradually transition from stage 0 to stage 2. Stage 0 has the lowest security and long-term stay should be avoided. Rollup should at least start from stage 1, while focusing on the audit and maturity of the proof system.
