PANews reported on February 19 that according to AndroidAuthority, the code of Google application v16.6.23 shows that Gemini may soon support the video generation (videogen) function, but this function has not yet been officially launched and the release time is uncertain.

"Videogen" and "robin" (Gemini's internal code name) appear together in the code, and include prompts such as "We will notify you when it is ready", suggesting that Gemini may have the ability to generate AI videos.

Currently, Google has launched Google Vids, which supports functions such as script writing, editing, voice generation, and background removal, but it is not a purely generative AI video system.
