Sources: Blockchain.com has been in talks to go public through a SPAC transaction

PANews reported on October 20th that according to CoinDesk, crypto exchange and wallet provider Blockchain.com has recently been in talks about going public in the United States via a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), citing people familiar with the matter. The company has appointed Cohen & Company Capital Markets to advise on potential SPAC transactions, but it is unclear whether such discussions are still ongoing.

While the valuation of the potential transaction is unclear, the company has raised funding at various valuations over the years due to market fluctuations. In March 2021, the company raised $300 million at a post-money valuation of $5.2 billion. The following year, its valuation climbed to $14 billion after another funding round. However, by November 2023, the company was valued at $7 billion when it raised $110 million, according to Bloomberg.
