PANews reported on October 27 that Pieverse, a Web3 payment and compliance infrastructure startup, announced the launch of the x402b protocol, which extends the x402 protocol through the Pieverse Facilitator to solve the gas-free payment and audit issues on the BNB Chain.

Core improvements to the x402b protocol include:

1. Gas-free payment support: Since major stablecoins on BNB Chain (such as USDT) do not support EIP-3009, Pieverse has launched pieUSD, a 1:1 USDT wrapped token that supports EIP-3009, enabling a truly gas-free payment experience. Users only need to sign messages, without paying gas fees.
2. Audit and Tax Support: x402b uses a customized Facilitator to automatically generate jurisdiction-compliant receipts during payment settlement and store them immutably on BNB Greenfield, meeting the audit and tax needs of businesses and professionals.

Earlier on October 24, it was reported that Pieverse completed US$7 million in financing, led by Animoca Brands and UOB Venture .
