PANews reported on October 31 that, according to CCTV News, the US Senate passed a resolution with 51 votes in favor and 47 against, ending President Trump's comprehensive tariff policy implemented globally. The Senate also announced that it had approved a joint resolution terminating the national emergency declared by the president to implement the global tariffs. Earlier this week, the Senate passed two resolutions aimed at removing tariffs imposed on Canada and Brazil.

These resolutions must now be voted on in the House of Representatives. However, House Republicans have repeatedly blocked legislation to overturn tariffs, making it difficult for these resolutions to pass in the House. Even if the House ultimately passes them, a two-thirds majority in Congress is still required to override the president's veto.
