ETHShanghai 2025 will be held in Shanghai from October 18th to 22nd, 2025. Themed "Expanding Ethereum, Shaping an Open Future," this year's conference is led by ETHPanda, a Chinese-speaking developer community, and co-hosted by Wanxiang Blockchain Lab, PANews, and TinTinLand. The event aims to explore the future of the Ethereum ecosystem.
The event, centered around a five-day hackathon and summit, brought together the Asia-Pacific region's most active developers and researchers to bring innovation from code to user experience. Participants were able to witness innovative achievements, hear cutting-edge industry voices, and experience the boundless possibilities of Ethereum in the next decade.
72-Hour Hackathon: Inspiring Innovation for Ethereum's Next Decade
The four-day ETHShanghai 2025 Hackathon will be held in Shanghai from October 18th to 21st, bringing together top developers and innovators from around the world. Registration is available here: ETHShanghai 2025 Hackathon
The first day will begin with contestant check-in and an opening ceremony, followed by on-site code creation, marking the beginning of the innovation journey. From October 19th to 20th, multiple keynote speeches will be arranged, with the guest lineup including industry leaders such as Chainlink, Nora, Bitseek, ETHPanda, HashKey Chain and Vyper, sharing cutting-edge technologies and practical experience. The content covers multi-dimensional technical topics such as decentralized AI, D/Acc super entities, tokenization and on-chain assets, smart contract development, and modular design. October 21st will be the project submission, demo presentation and review stage. Teams will present their achievements on site and receive professional review and evaluation of potential investment opportunities.
Participating teams will be supported by on-site code sprints, technical coaching, and Mentor Office Hours to quickly implement their creative ideas in three cutting-edge tracks:
AI × ETH: Following the Ethereum Foundation's initiative to establish the DAI team, we will explore the integration of AI and Ethereum, including AI-driven on-chain agents, automated contracts, and governance innovations.
DeFi × Infra: Focusing on RWA and modular infrastructure construction, promoting the intelligence and security of decentralized finance;
Public goods × open source construction: Encourage the construction of ecological underlying tools and collaborative frameworks to strengthen the sustainable development of open finance and public infrastructure.
This 72-hour offline hackathon not only provides developers with a hands-on opportunity to build Web3 projects from scratch, but also serves as a platform for global innovators to gather their expertise. The event aims to select approximately 100 top developers from over 500 applications worldwide, incubating 30 to 40 innovative projects on-site with a total prize pool of up to $15,000. The winning teams in each track will have the opportunity to present their work on stage at the main conference to top investment institutions.
