PANews reported on October 14th that Coinbase Markets announced that Coinbase Exchange will temporarily suspend services at approximately 7:00 AM Pacific Time on October 25, 2025 (10:00 PM Beijing Time on October 25, 2025) due to a planned technical system upgrade. At that time, all trading services on Coinbase.com (simple and advanced trading), Coinbase Exchange, and Coinbase Prime will be suspended. All transfer services on the Coinbase exchange will be suspended, and any transfers in progress will be delayed.

The maintenance outage will be divided into two phases. The entire process is expected to take up to four hours to complete, though this estimate is subject to change. Phase 1: Technical system upgrade (estimated to take up to two hours). Phase 2: Trading system restart (estimated to take up to two hours, but may take longer depending on market conditions). Trading is expected to be temporarily suspended before 7:00 AM Pacific Time, prior to the start of the exchange-wide maintenance outage.
