PANews reported on April 16th that Aave Labs announced the launch of Aave Checkpoint, an AI-driven governance and security system that adds a structured, multi-layered review process to each proposal and payload before execution. Checkpoint's workflow consists of two phases: an automated AI analysis phase, where upon submission of a new proposal, the system automatically retrieves on-chain data, proposal source code, and IPFS text, cross-references parameters with governance specifications, uses Seatbelt to simulate output and check the proposal execution path, runs over 60 dedicated security analysis agents for vulnerability detection, DeFi-specific risk analysis, agent upgrade security checks, and generates a structured audit report with pass/fail conclusions; and a mandatory human review phase, where each AI-generated report requires independent signatures from at least two people to be considered reviewed. Checkpoint covers Aave V3, V4, GHO, and Aptos-v3 protocols, and includes 5 custom Aave governance skills and 52 external security skills.
