Chaos Labs has announced its withdrawal from Aave DAO, following the departures of BGD and ACI.

PANews reported on April 7th that Chaos Labs, which had been responsible for risk management in the Aave V2 and V3 markets since November 2022, announced it would withdraw from its partnership with Aave and voluntarily terminate the cooperation agreement. Although Aave Labs offered to increase its budget to $5 million to retain Chaos Labs, fundamental differences in risk management priorities and approaches led to Chaos Labs' decision to leave.

Chaos Labs stated that Aave's three years of operational experience and risk management have made it a benchmark in the decentralized finance (DeFi) field. However, Aave V4's new architecture and expanded risk management scope have increased operational and legal burdens, and the existing budget is insufficient to support risk management at this scale. Chaos Labs will conduct a responsible and orderly handover and submit a detailed transition plan to ensure a smooth transition for the Aave DAO after its departure.

In previous reports, the founder of Aave responded to the " ACI will withdraw from governance" statement: the protocol will continue to operate normally, the incentive plan will not be affected , and BGD Labs will cease providing technical contributions to Aave starting in April .
