PANews reported on May 8 that according to official news, the UAE state-owned oil giant Emarat announced a strategic partnership with Crypto.com to launch cryptocurrency payment services at gas stations - a first in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. In the first phase, the service will be enabled at 10 Emaar gas stations and is planned to be gradually extended to its entire network. As part of this partnership, Emarat also launched the Emarat×Crypto.com co-branded service station on Al Wasl Road in Dubai - the world's first flagship station under the "Project Landmark" of its kind, which introduced a gas station naming rights model.

It is reported that Emarat is one of the leading energy suppliers in the UAE, founded in 1980 with a market value of US$14 billion.
