PANews reported on May 15 that Hong Kong investment institution Avenir Group disclosed in its latest 13F filing that as of March 31, 2025, its holdings of BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) ETF increased to 14.7 million shares, with a market value of approximately US$691 million, a significant increase from 11.3 million shares on December 31, 2024. This holding accounts for 86.9% of its total assets, making Avenir the largest Bitcoin ETF holder in Asia. Avenir launched a $500 million cryptocurrency partnership in September 2024.
