PANews reported on April 16 that according to Bloomberg, California Governor Gavin Newsom announced that he would file a federal lawsuit against Trump for imposing extensive tariffs on China, Mexico and Canada, accusing the policy of abusing emergency powers and harming the interests of consumers and businesses in the world's fifth largest economy. The lawsuit will be filed in the San Francisco federal court on Wednesday, and state Attorney General Rob Bonta will apply for an emergency court injunction to prevent the tariffs from taking effect immediately.
