PANews reported on April 14 that Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) Group Chief Sustainability Officer Chow Kwun Ying said that the use of new technologies such as blockchain could make carbon credit tracking more transparent and efficient and facilitate cross-border transactions. Therefore, HKEX is open to using technologies such as blockchain to solve existing carbon market problems.
