PANews reported on May 20 that according to Blue Media, the AI Agent product Manus announced full registration on May 12 , but did not provide a Chinese version, indicating that its focus is still on overseas markets. Because Manus does not require local computing, uses the Claude model and runs in the cloud, which brings high costs, it currently adopts a point-based billing model, and the daily cost of users is relatively high. Although it has cooperated with Tongyi Qianwen, the Chinese version is nowhere in sight due to regulation and domestic users' willingness to pay. In the free competition environment of domestic AI giants, it is difficult for Manus to "harvest" users. Currently, Manus has received US$75 million in financing from investors including Benchmark, Tencent, and Sequoia , and plans to continue to focus on the US, Japan and Middle East markets.
Analysis: Manus open registration is unlikely to make waves, expensive and no Chinese version makes it difficult to pry into the domestic market
