A brief analysis of the integration of Story and AI Agent: building an on-chain IP trading market

First, IP itself is a valuable asset

Story is an L1 chain that exists for IP. To understand story, you must first understand IP. IP is a market with huge capacity, including brands, creative works, technological achievements, etc. Specifically, it can be a song, a game, a brand, a technical patent, or MEME or AI training data commonly seen in the encryption field, etc.

In other words, IP is a type of asset. As long as it is an asset, there will be demand for asset issuance and asset trading. This opens up the application scenarios of IP. It can be combined with DeFi and AI agents. This will be described later.

Second, there are essential differences between off-chain and on-chain IP assets. On-chain IP is programmable, allowing IP owners to control IP, own IP, and earn income through IP.

The significance of Story to IP assets

Because IP is an asset, the scenarios that can be implemented off-chain are not as good as on-chain, especially in terms of asset liquidity. On-chain, IP owners can not only have control, but also realize more benefits through the market. This is also the source of Stroy's importance to IP assets. For Story, there are two IP markets, one is the on-chain market for off-chain IP assets, similar to RWA; the other is the on-chain IP market for the issuance, trading and management of on-chain IP assets.

Market economy between stories and AI agents

There are many aspects of Story’s integration with AI. These include: becoming important training data, with benefits shared by multiple parties; AI agents generating on-chain IP assets; AI agents using Story’s on-chain IP assets; and commercial transactions between AI agents (trading training data, creating works, etc.). In other words, forming an on-chain market that combines IP and AI agents.

The most important reason why Stroy and AI agents can be combined is the uniqueness of IP. Uniqueness is similar to DNA. This is a good combination for AI agents and model training.

As mentioned before, the collaboration between Story and Stabiltiy is a win-win for both parties. From Story's perspective, Stability's AI model can be used to provide creators (including artists and developers, etc.) with a model for measurable contribution. For example, one use case is to register the unique style of artists (writers, painters, musicians, etc.) as transparently usable IP data, which can become training data. For Stability, Story's IP data is used to fine-tune and train its models. Once this collaboration generates revenue, such as creators using these IP data to train and fine-tune and generate revenue, all participants can benefit.

Story is going to launch TCP/IP for AI agents, aiming to build a trading market between AI agents. This is the key to Story's attempt to maximize its IP characteristics, and it is also an important step in determining the capacity of its future market size.

From what Story has disclosed so far, its TCP/IP is a framework that supports IP transactions between agents. Agents can trade training data, creative styles, investment strategies, etc. Story plans to integrate Eliza from ai16z and GAME framework from Virtual, and it is estimated that swarms and arc will be integrated in the future. The main purpose is to allow all agents to trade IP assets with each other.

For example, a human user or organization initiates a creation demand to an agent with a certain music style (unique IP) and places an order. Based on the customer's needs, the AI agent decides to initiate a purchase of IP demand from other music styles (unique IP) agents after thinking about it, in order to merge and generate a new music style (new IP), and finally submit the work to the customer. This is not only an interaction between humans and AI agents, but also a transaction between AI agents.

There will be a variety of interactions and transactions here, forming a market full of IP innovation assets. In addition, Story hired AI agent LUNA as its promotion intern and is expected to pay a salary of more than $300,000. This also demonstrates the scenario of transactions between Stroy's AI Agents.

Since there will be countless AI agents on the chain in the future, these AI agents will have the need to interact and trade with each other. The trading content of AI agents often also includes IP. Story is targeting this market. It can manage a large number of IPs through its TCP/IP framework. Without trust and intermediaries, AI agents can interact and trade with each other, thus promoting the prosperity of the trading market between AI agents.

In general, the future is an era of rapid growth of AI agents, and there is a need for transactions between AI agents. The Story framework is to help these AI agents interact and trade IPs, thereby creating a new type of on-chain economy. Whether it will be successful in the end depends mainly on the total scale of IP transactions between AI agents relying on Story.
