PANews reported on October 25 that according to Decrypt, after Nigeria dropped the charges against Binance executive Tigran Gambaryan and released him on Wednesday, the U.S. State Department announced that it had teamed up with Nigeria to establish a bilateral liaison group on illegal finance and cryptocurrency to jointly combat cybercrime and financial misconduct related to cryptocurrency. The announcement stated: "The United States works with global partners to promote cyberspace and digital technology while combating and responding to malicious cyber operations, cybercrime, and other digital hazards."
