Microsoft (MSFT.O) expressed support for OpenAI's advancement into a public benefit corporation (PBC). Microsoft retains intellectual property and exclusive rights to the Arzure API until artificial general intelligence (AGI) is achieved. OpenAI can now provide API access to US government national security clients, regardless of their cloud provider. OpenAI can now publish open-weight models that meet required capability standards.
