Europol has pledged to increase international cooperation and investment in investigating cryptocurrency crimes.

PANews reported on November 2nd that, according to Decrypt, the head of Europol's European Financial and Economic Crime Centre (EFECC) warned this week that the methods used for criminal activities involving cryptocurrencies and blockchain are becoming "increasingly sophisticated." He pledged that Europol will continue to increase its investment in supporting member states in conducting complex international investigations and called for the development of global standards and the provision of impartial blockchain training to strengthen cross-border investigations.
