PANews reported on May 19 that according to Techinasia, British financial services company Revolut plans to invest 1 billion euros (about 1.1 billion US dollars) in France in the next three years and will apply for a French banking license. The news was announced at the "Choose France" summit held at the Palace of Versailles. As part of the plan, Revolut will open an office in Paris to manage its Western European business. The expansion is expected to create 200 new jobs in France, where the company already has 300 employees. In addition, the company said that Lithuania will remain an important center for its European business.

Earlier in April, it was reported that Revolut's profits would double to US$1.3 billion in 2024, thanks to user growth and a recovery in cryptocurrency trading.
