PANews reported on November 8 that according to the Legal Daily, a man named Deng Gang (pseudonym) was entrusted by his nephew Deng Dawei (pseudonym) to go to a designated location to collect virtual currency transaction funds, but was threatened with a knife by the buyer Wang Qiang (pseudonym). Deng Gang was forced to inform Deng Dawei to transfer more than 40,000 virtual currencies to the other party... So, does the criminal suspect Wang Qiang's behavior constitute extortion or robbery?

On November 4, a reporter from Legal Weekly learned from the Jianghan District People's Procuratorate of Wuhan City, Hubei Province that the defendant Wang Qiang was sentenced to four years and eight months in prison in the first instance for the crimes of extortion and concealing and hiding the proceeds of crime. After the Jianghan District Procuratorate filed an appeal to the higher court, the second instance court adopted the prosecution's accusation and determined that Wang Qiang committed robbery. He was sentenced to eleven years and six months in prison for the crimes of robbery and concealing and hiding the proceeds of crime, and was fined; this judgment is the final judgment.
