Ethereum completes the final phase of the Fusaka upgrade, improving L2 data availability.

PANews reported on January 8th that, according to The Block, Ethereum has simultaneously executed the final stage of its Fusaka upgrade, the "Blob Parameters Only (BPO)" fork. This fork increases the maximum number of blobs per block to 21, further improving Layer 2 data availability. The BPO mechanism allows Ethereum to gradually adjust network parameters, avoiding reliance on annual major upgrades. This mechanism helps reduce rollup costs and supports network expansion.
