AI is entering the bottom of civilization, but the ownership of intelligent assets remains an unsolved mystery

Behind the rapid development of AI around the world, a long-ignored issue is gradually becoming a consensus focus - the construction of artificial intelligence relies on large-scale human collaboration, but its value attribution structure is still seriously unbalanced. Data, labels, feedback, behavior, these original assets that support the growth of models are still difficult to track, confirm ownership and incentivize.

In the past, AI was viewed as a technological achievement; today, it is more like a refinement of distributed productivity. Who is participating? Who should own it? Who should benefit? The answers to these questions directly determine the shape of the future AI economy.

Sahara AI was born in this context and proposed a reconstruction plan of AI X WEB 3: participate in the construction, contribute value, and get rewards from artificial intelligence. It is the world's first full-stack, AI-native blockchain platform that is open and accessible to everyone.

Unlike Web3 packaging around existing AI tools, Sahara AI has been trying to establish a new intelligent asset order since its inception - here, key assets such as data, models, and intelligent entities can be registered, authorized, verified, and shared, forming the "on-chain property rights layer" and "value distribution layer" of the AI era.

Sahara releases SIWA testnet: the first publicly available on-chain data ownership system

May 19, 2025, Los Angeles time - Sahara AI officially launched its public beta network SIWA today, opening up AI creation, collaboration and monetization channels to all chain developers. SIWA is the first public entry of the Sahara blockchain. As the underlying infrastructure, its core function is to provide verifiable ownership, license management and on-chain monetization capabilities for AI assets such as data sets and models, and establish a trusted and traceable AI collaboration standard.

During the private beta phase, Sahara AI has achieved significant growth: the total number of accounts has exceeded 3.2 million, the number of daily active accounts has exceeded 1.4 million, and more than 200,000 users have participated in data labeling tasks.

The first phase of SIWA's public beta focuses on "decentralized data rights confirmation" , allowing users to register their own data sets on the chain and mint data ownership certificates, making them traceable, valuable, and divisible asset attributes, thereby changing the situation in which the data that traditional AI relies on is implicitly plundered and has no pricing rights.

AI is evolving based on data from billions of users, the vast majority of whom are neither empowered nor compensated.

Sean Ren, Co-founder and CEO of Sahara AI, said:

“Sahara is not just another blockchain project, it is a call for systemic reflection and collective action. Our data service platform has achieved real revenue and returned this value directly to testnet users. SIWA will support any developer and chain willing to empower AI contributors to join our ecosystem.”

Sahara AI’s protocol roadmap includes three additional phases prior to mainnet: licensing, revenue sharing, and a royalty vault to turn attribution into revenue; a permissionless testnet with an open-source protocol; and pipeline registration, provenance tracking, and proof of contribution for automated revenue sharing.

This SIWA test network also introduced 40+ new ecological partners, covering AI, Web3, cloud computing and academic institutions, including AWS, Google Cloud, UC Berkeley, Together AI and QuickNode, etc. Sahara has previously established partnerships with Microsoft, Amazon, Snap, MIT, USC, UCLA, MyShell, etc.

“Sahara AI is ushering in an era of more open, fair, and sustainable AI collaboration.”

Vipul Ved Prakash, co-founder and CEO of Together AI, said:

“We believe that scalable computing resources will become the new infrastructure of Web3 AI. Together AI will fully support Sahara’s developer platform to help more users easily call and deploy intelligent models.”

With the release of SIWA, Sahara AI will also launch its flagship applications to the public in phases, providing Web2 and Web3 builders and contributors with tools, infrastructure, and economic systems related to the industry chain: AI Developer Platform, AI Marketplace, and Data Service Platform (DSP).

The data service platform will be launched in public beta on May 27. This is a pioneering service that uses distributed contributors to collect and annotate large-scale data. The platform provides decentralized auditing, incentive distribution and quality inspection mechanisms. In the first quarter , 289,000 pieces of data were audited with an accuracy rate of 92% . In the second quarter, more than 2.55 million pieces of data were audited, and the accuracy rate increased to 95% .

Sahara AI solves the long-standing AI infrastructure problem in the blockchain ecosystem, provides a full-stack AI development and collaboration platform for developers around the world, and enables the confirmation, transaction, and sharing of AI assets through the Web3 protocol mechanism. SIWA marks the fundamental reconstruction of AI production relations and is also the starting point of the De-AI era.
