Although higher blob fees increase the gas fees returned by the network, they also increase L2 transaction costs. Previously, Ethereum developers proposed EIP-7742, which plans to optimize network scalability by dynamically setting blob gas targets, and is expected to be implemented in the Pectra fork to cope with the growing demand for blobs.
