Trump: I will nominate a new Fed chair next week; interest rates should be 2 to 3 percentage points lower.

PANews reported on January 30th that, according to Jinshi News, US President Trump stated he plans to announce his successor to Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell next week, ending weeks of speculation about who will take the position. Powell's term ends in May 2026. Trump also stated that interest rates should be 2 to 3 percentage points lower.
