In a recent public interview, Tim Draper, a well-known venture capitalist and founder of Draper Associates, predicted: "By October next year, the price of Bitcoin will exceed $250,000."
He emphasized that Bitcoin is a superior technological system—transparent, self-auditing, and eliminating intermediaries and trust costs. "One Bitcoin is always worth one Bitcoin, but the dollar is constantly depreciating. Eventually, the dollar will become extinct, and the dollar price of Bitcoin will become infinite because the dollar will be zero."
Draper noted that any individual, company, or government that relies on the fiat currency system should hold Bitcoin to protect against bank failures or the spread of credit risk. “Those who refuse to adopt new technologies are like taking a knife to an opponent armed with gunpowder—they are doomed to lose.”
He added: "The one million Confederate dollars my father gave me are worthless today. The same will be true for the dollar."
