In an interview with the Master Investor podcast, ARK Invest CEO Cathie Wood said the Hyperliquid protocol reminds her of Solana's early potential, calling it a "rising star in the blockchain space." She noted that Solana has proven its value and entered the mainstream blockchain landscape. Currently, ARK Invest primarily holds three crypto assets in its public funds: Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. Wood revealed that the company indirectly holds Solana assets through Breera Sports, a project linked to the Solana treasury and backed by Middle Eastern investors. She also mentioned that economist Art Laffer provides advisory support to the project. While Wood did not confirm whether she holds Hyperliquid assets, she believes the protocol is worth watching. She also emphasized that Bitcoin remains the core of her crypto investments, believing it to be dominant in the pure cryptocurrency space due to its fixed supply and risk-resistance. She added that while Ethereum plays a significant role in the DeFi ecosystem and the influence of stablecoins is growing, Bitcoin remains the core of ARK's long-term investment thesis. Earlier today, Cathie Wood argued that Ethereum cannot surpass Bitcoin, disagreeing with Tom Lee's view.

She also shared her friendly disagreement with Fundstrat's Tom Lee and explained why she believes Ethereum cannot surpass Bitcoin, despite her growing interest in Ethereum and recent purchases of BitMine shares. Wood said that she prefers Bitcoin to Ethereum because Bitcoin will continue to scale; it is a global currency system based on rules, and as a Layer 1 that has never been hacked, it is also the first

As reported by The Block, on Friday, asset managers Fidelity, Franklin Templeton, CoinShares, Bitwise, Grayscale, Canary Capital, and VanEck updated their respective S-1 registration statements for their proposed Solana ETFs to clarify details of their staking activities. This filing rush follows a similar wave in late August, when several of the same issuers amended their filings to allow for both cash and in-kind redemptions. Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart suggested at the time that the filings could indicate "active communication between these issuers and the SEC."
