Berkshire Hathaway cautiously advances its AI strategy and establishes three key principles.

PANews reported on May 2nd that, according to Jinshi, Berkshire Hathaway has adopted a prudent and pragmatic strategy in advancing AI applications. The company has explicitly stated that it will not blindly pursue general-purpose AI, but will focus on precisely applying narrow-sense AI to real-world business scenarios. To this end, Berkshire has established three application principles:

First, we will introduce high-end technical talents and engineering teams to drive the deployment, and have senior executives and experienced teams participate in the system architecture and implementation.

Second, we must strictly adhere to the bottom line of security governance, strengthen data integration and risk prevention and control, and continuously verify the consistency between AI output results and business objectives.

Third, the company insists that core decision-making power must be controlled by humans, with AI serving only as an auxiliary tool. All key management, risk control, and business decisions are the sole responsibility of humans. At the same time, the company emphasizes employee skills retraining to adapt to job transformations in the AI era and strictly controls the operational and compliance risks associated with the application of technology, ensuring that AI complements rather than replaces the core business.
