The UK plans to deregulate the cryptocurrency exchange Zedxion, which is suspected of providing financial services to Iran.

PANews reported on March 21 that, according to OCCRP, the UK Companies House has taken action to deregister entities such as the cryptocurrency exchange Zedxion Exchange Ltd, which are subject to US sanctions and linked to the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Zedxion has been added to the U.S. sanctions list due to his ties to another sanctioned individual, Babak Zanjani, and the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The UK Companies House has posted a notice on Zedxion's official registration page stating: "The Registrar intends to, or has already, taken steps to remove the company from the register under section 1002A of the Companies Act 2006. This action relates to misleading, false or deceptive information or statements in the company's registration application."
