European Commission: Social media company X has submitted a rectification plan regarding "BlueFocus certification".

PANews reported on March 13 that Thomas Renier, spokesperson for the European Commission responsible for digital economy affairs, stated at a press conference that Elon Musk's social media platform X has submitted a rectification plan to the European Commission regarding its "Blue Label certification." In December 2025, the European Commission issued its first "non-compliance decision" under the Digital Services Act, fining X €120 million. The EU accused X of offering "Blue Label certification" solely through payment, being misleading to users in its interface design, having a non-compliant advertising database in terms of transparency and accessibility, and failing to grant qualified researchers access to its public data as required.
