Let's briefly discuss OKX's X Launch event. How do you earn points and which points tier should you choose?
TLDR
- The holding category 1 tokens are mainly ETH/SOL/BNB public chain coins and stable coins, which are convenient for subsequent score brushing.
- Check OKX DEX's service fee and choose a trading pair with a fee of 0.85% to get more points.
- Players with multiple accounts can use level 2 (64U), players with a single account can use level 4 (256U), and levels 7/8 are not allowed.
1/OKX Boost's three activities
X Launch: Earn points based on your holdings/trading data over the past 15 days and share the listing bonus pool proportionally.
Giveaway: Complete deposit/social/interaction tasks assigned by the project to earn rewards. Trading Competition: Occasional token trading competitions are held, with top users sharing the prize pool. The core of OKX Boost is X Launch; the other two are omitted for now.
2/X Launch Event
The official will set a minimum threshold, and only users who meet both conditions are eligible to participate in the Launch event. The minimum standard is determined by the user's Boost transaction volume and Boost balance in the past 15 days.
Boost Balance: The daily average balance of Category 1 tokens you hold in your OKX wallet.
Boost Trading Volume: Your average daily trading volume on the Solana/EVM-compatible chain using OKX DEX, multiplied by a factor.
The reward pool consists of a fixed number of project tokens, distributed based on the ratio of your trading points to your total trading points. Trading points are determined by your Boost trading volume: 32U - 1 point, 256U - 4 points, 1024U - 6 points... and up to 4096U - 8 points.
In essence, it is still about increasing transaction volume, but the key is which type of token to choose and which points level to target.
3/Boost Balance
Boost balance currently only looks at Category 1 tokens held in the wallet.
Category 1: Bitcoin/Ethereum, mainstream public chain coins (BNB/SOL/OKB, etc.), and stablecoins.
Category 2: Mainstream altcoins associated with the project/meme (AAVE/CRV/LINK/DOGE, etc.).
Other Tokens: Tokens that don't fall into categories 1 or 2 are categorized as "Other Tokens." This balance is snapshotted hourly, and the average daily balance is calculated using 24 snapshots. Therefore, you can't deposit at 7:00 and withdraw at 8:00.
Considering that points will be added later, it will be more convenient to hold ETH/SOL/BNB and stablecoins in Category 1.
4/Boost Trading Volume
The multipliers obtained by swiping different token trading pairs are different. A relatively simple way is to directly look at the service fee rate charged when trading on OKX DEX.
If it is 0%, then there are no points for this transaction;
If it is 0.25%, the transaction will only receive 0.25 times the Boost transaction volume;
If it is 0.85%, the transaction will receive 1x the full Boost transaction volume;
Therefore, to achieve the same amount of Boost trading volume, the total transaction fee spent on swiping token pairs with a 0.85% service fee is less.
Considering that Boost balance holdings only count as Category 1 tokens, you can brush "Category 1 - Other Tokens"
5. The wear and payout of X Boost farming. The first X Launch is $LINEA . The current point value is 63,308.53, and there are 19,347 eligible participants, resulting in an average point value of 3.27. The Linea prize pool contains 162,022,478 tokens. Each point earns 2,559 LINEA tokens and 0.03 Units before the market opens. Therefore, "temporarily," one point is worth 76 Units. From a cost-effectiveness perspective, the low-end 32/64 Units offer the best value; in terms of absolute profit, the mid-range 4/5/6 units offer the best value; the high-end 7/8 units are not worth farming.
The prize pool revenue is expected to decrease in the next few rounds, and as the number of participants increases (the total number of points increases), the profit per point will decline. Currently, one point is 76U. Assuming that the point profit may increase to 10/20/30/40/50/60/70 in the future, the profit of different tiers is roughly as shown in the figure below (created by GPT). For multi-account players, tier 2 (64U) is the best; for single-account players, tier 4 (256U) has controllable wear and tear, low risk, and relatively good profits.
